【史上第一次，台美日國會議員戰略論壇】
第1屆 #台美日國會議員戰略論壇 於台北時間7/29早上7點登場。立法院長 水牛伯 游錫堃 以立院 #台日交流聯誼會 會長身分出席，和日本 #日華議員懇談會，及美國 #國會台灣連線 參眾議員們三方連線對話交流，論壇特別安排 #神秘嘉賓 致詞─邀請日本前首相 #安倍晉三 蒞臨演講。
安倍表示，倡議自由開放的印太地區，理念相近國家的合作非常重要，如由美、日、印度及澳洲間進行的「四方安全對話」（Quad），相當重要，台灣也非常重要。他還說：「我們非常重視台灣，希望台灣能參加國際組織，包括世界衛生大會（WHA）、跨太平洋夥伴全面進步協定（CPTPP）」。
美國出席議員，民主黨籍參議院外委會亞太小組主席馬基（Ed Markey）提到：「這場三邊戰略對話是討論進一步合作管道的機會，以維繫全球最重要之一區域的和平與穩定。」
游錫堃院長感謝近期日本及美國對台灣的協助，並且期盼三方在安全及經濟上能夠更進一步深化關係。
外交部未來將持續加強台美日三方聯繫，並積極深化全方位實質合作夥伴關係。
Former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo made a surprise guest appearance at the inaugural #Taiwan-#Japan-#US Strategic Parliamentary Dialogue which took place earlier today, in which he called for all countries in the region to adhere to #RuleOfLaw while taking advantage of economic opportunities and condemned recent events in #Xinjiang and #HongKong.
Parliamentarians from across the aisle in all three countries took part in the dialogue, with opening remarks by Chair Furaya Keiji of the Japan-Taiwan Diet Members' Consultative Council, US Senators Bill Hagerty and Ed Markey, as well as Taiwan’s Legislative Speaker You Si-kun. MOFA would like to thank all of the #LikeMinded parties for making the event happen and echoes the calls of the speakers to maintain the status quo across the Taiwan Strait and peace and stability in the #IndoPacific region.
Taiwan is keen to join regional organizations like the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (#CPTPP), and will continue to work towards this goal through frameworks like the Global Training and Cooperation Framework.
